Family comes first, then school. Third is the bike. She waits for me.

I cannot ride as much as I'd like too. But if I can get three rides in a week (Friday, Saturday & Sunday mornings) I can get a good workout in. My fitness is, well, ok. Not great. But ok.big jonnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15557363776949422612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-960025802590894455.post-73517575568048792412010-08-12T20:58:59.696-04:002010-08-12T20:58:59.696-04:00Uli -

Kinda let myself go over the summer...noslohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07798960884566526266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-960025802590894455.post-24423195512047258862010-08-11T20:48:57.098-04:002010-08-11T20:48:57.098-04:00"Do I start riding again, with a goal to race..."Do I start riding again, with a goal to race, and accept finishing at the ass-end of the pack in order to keep the other areas in my life good? Or do I forget about racing and just ride occasionally when the mood strikes so as not to face the inevitable frustration and disappointment of getting whooped every race?"

Why decide? Just ride and see where it takes you. Do a race and see how you feel about being pack fodder. Is just being part of the race enough for you? It may well be. If not, leave it.

Or a third option: ride little but hard. Eat less.

Cheers
Uli
www.passista.itUlihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12396901020582614322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-960025802590894455.post-8939279050560238752010-08-08T10:59:01.451-04:002010-08-08T10:59:01.451-04:00Great post.
